WikiProject Visual arts, a sub-project of WikiProject Arts, is a place for Wikipedians to talk over issues and organize data about the visual arts. Like whatever folio on Wikipedia, all are welcome to edit and contribute to this WikiProject.

Rather than try to force information to appear in a uniform way, this WikiProject presents guidelines to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. These recommendations for creating visual arts content are based on various Wikipedia fashion guides and common practices for writing expert articles. Use your own judgment in applying these guidelines, along with other Wikipedia guidelines, to etch articles and be bold.

Scope [edit]

The project seeks to improve the quality of articles related to the visual arts. The primary category that represents articles that autumn within the scope of this project is Category:Visual arts (Category:Fine art has merged into this).

Writing and editing [edit]

  • Create new articles: A good starting point might be requested visual arts articles.

Visual arts portal [edit]

  • Maintain and update the visual arts portal. There are no parameters for how ofttimes things can be updated on the portal. Be assuming.
    • Update the selected article.
    • Update the selected motion-picture show.
    • Update the did you lot know section.
    • Complete tasks listed in the Things yous can practice section. Add together new open up tasks as relevant. Try to maintain a consequent number of items in each section.

It is important to have an input into Manufactures for deletion. There is at present a special folio for visual fine art manufactures, which needs to exist maintained, updated and monitored. It can exist plant here: WikiProject Deletion sorting/Visual arts. Manufactures need to be added manually: please add any AfD you want to describe attention to, and also put it on your watchlist.

Images [edit]

  • Upload and add images to visual arts pages.
    • Public domain image resources is a keen place to start looking for images to add together.
    • External links to online galleries/images can also exist helpful, particularly when free images are not bachelor for upload and copyright violations might exist an event.

The article on this important and influential movement, which dominated the decorative arts in Britain from 1890–1915, should exist a lot improve than information technology is.
